We left Mom’s Friday morning, stopped to visit Graceland in Memphis, and Elvis’ birthplace in Tupelo, MS. We thought we’d drive to Alabama before stopping for the night.
We didn’t anticipate the difficulty in finding a room on the Interstate on a holiday weekend. Vacant rooms in Alabama didn’t exist. So we marathon drove to the farm in Georgia, and got in at 2:30 a.m.
It was worth it. We woke up on the farm and had a lazy, happy weekend, and didn’t have to deal with the holiday traffic.
There’s no place like home, and it’s a #WonderfulLife!
