Jim Meets His Granddaughter

July 16-18, 2016 – I was living on Maui when my granddaughter, Lydie, was born. When I finally got to Michigan to meet her she was 11 1/2 months old.

I immediately fell in love with her, and my son Jason, his wife Erin, and my grandson Jameson all fell in love with Larra, almost overnight. Here are some photos from the three great days we had together.

IMG_1166As we pulled into Rochester, Michigan, we passed the building where my Dad’s campaign headquarters was, on the top floor, when he ran for State Representative back in the early 60’s. It’s now a bakery.

Below, I’m poolside playing the mandolin for Jameson and Lydie, and coaching Jameson on playing his new guitar. We’re going to be an awesome duet. Dueling banjos, watch out!

Wonderful family photos and Lydie is a doll. That neighbors car I saw in one of your other posts.. I wonder if it it was a prototype that never made it to market? I just have never seen another like it in Michigan.. never.. but it has peeked my curiosity to do a little googling and see if it comes up with a name.. It is a very odd cross breed or so it looks.. Michigan back in the day made some prototypes that ended up in certain hands but never were produced or mass produced because of the low sales.
