with Larra Jones and Jim Carey

Sept. 13, 2016 – In North Vancouver Larra took me to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, where she worked for 25 years.

This was the main building she worked in.20160913_141425 20160913_141407 20160913_141512 20160913_141507

ICBC used to lease this building, and Larra worked here, too.

Stepping Back in Time

On our way back to the ferry we stopped in McDonald’s to use the washroom. When Larra came out she ran into an old co-worker from the insurance company.

Larra in North Vancouver, “Pianos on the Street” program. She played “Heart and Soul” for me. One handed!

For five minutes they chatted, in English, sort of, a lingo and litany of activities and people, of which I had no idea of what was going on. But it seemed to please Larra that she run into an old co-worker, which made me happy.

Larra commented later how that life seemed like lifetimes, like entire worlds ago – like centuries instead of only a couple of years. It was, spiritually.

Spiritually yours,

Jim Carey
