August 2, 2016 – Because of the rain and heavy traffic today, I drove the entire way from Murfreesboro, Tennessee to our farm in Midville. The weather didn’t clear up until we were almost home.
This is how Larra looked when I asked her to drive the last ten miles to the farm.
People ask how we split up the driving when we’re on our road adventures.
“I drive one hour, then Larra drives one hour,” is my reply.
“That sounds fair,” they say.
“Yep, that’s what we agreed.” I continue, “But lately I’ve been noticing that Larra’s hour lasts 60 minutes and mine last 120 or more.
“She also won’t drive if there’s heavy traffic, it’s raining, the roads are twisty or hilly, it’s dark out, or she’s not in the mood for it. Otherwise, we split the driving 50-50, if the meaning of 50-50 is she drives sometimes and I drive the rest of the day.” LOL
It’s a wonderful life.
